VisLit Morgan Rudd: Journal

My journal is a collection of photos that encompass where I'm from, where I plan on going, and where I am headed. I wanted the main portion of my journal to center on my favorite place to be and where I hope to live one day which is New York City. I briefly show two pictures from my hometown to give the gist of where I am from. I use the tampa skyline photo and a new york city skyline photo side by side to contrast where I'm at to where I want to be and create a smooth transition into the center of my journal. Then I focus on the staples of NYC that everyone can identify and relate to. I show what makes me drawn to the city through the photos (the architecture, the celebrities, the seasons, etc.) Lastly, I briefly show where I am headed which is to New Zealand for a semester abroad. I placed a photo of an airplane wing to have a nice transition into New Zealand photos. Overall, I feel that this journal represents my aspiring journey.
